"Be Mines for Ever and Ever and Ever" Original Prison Art

The artist is currently incarcerated in Nevada.
All original artworks are created by artists previously or currently incarcerated. They use whichever materials they have access to, and prove creative ingenuity beyond the norm. These original paintings and drawings are born in the heart of a prison cell, from the hands of an outsider artist to adorn the walls of your space. Each art piece is a one-of-a-kind that not only enhances your interior but also makes you actively participate in reforming the prison and criminal justice system.

The incarcerated artist receives 50% of the sales proceeds. The artists set their own prices based on the costs of materials (it can vary greatly from one facility to another), the time spent on the piece, their experience, and simply - what they think it’s worth. Alongside with offering a financial outlet, we aim to empower their confidence and reinstitute their status as human beings - not a number behind bars. For most, art is an escape, a path to self-discovery and healing. Through art, they can reconnect with society so the gap is not so unbridgeable when they get out. Through the sales, they can stay connected with their families, afford daily commissary items, pay societal debts, relieve the economic burden on their loved ones, and save up for the release date. So they have the financial means to get ahead of reinsertion and get a fair chance at that second chance.

"This piece is of a golden heart with the words “be mines forever” encrypted in it. It has an angel and demon wing left and right. I believe everybody has light and darkness. It’s symbolic. I use the infinite symbol 3 times which means God, never ending. The dogs in it are my children: Styloefoam and Little One. Little One was stolen or lost while I was locked. I put a universal touch because space fascinates. The moon, sun and stars are awesome. This piece isn’t meant for anybody in particular but it can be for somebody else. This is my heart but I believe there are others who believe they have one made of Gold. I also wrote words within the letters to describe and inspire. In the “B” it says “Babe”. In the “M” it says “Mia” and “Mine” (spanish-english). In the “N” it say “Nina” (Girl). In the “S” it says “STAY”. In the “F” it says “Forever”. In the 1st “R” it says “Rare”. The cracks in the “V” and demon wing symbolize damage, struggle, and adversity. In the last “R”, it says “REAL LOVE”. My dogs are the “E’s”. The moons is “O” which symbolizes darkness and feminine touch. The shining sun means like everlasting love and how much any sould shines… BR are the initials of my best friend who passed away over 10 years ago. He showed me the basics of graffiti and without him I wouldn’t be able to do this. 11/15/93 - 04/02/2012".
